Those who wear glasses

I'm getting older and my eyes are shot. I got my first prescription for glasses last week. Whenever I wear them and look at a computer screen, the shape of the screen is more like a trapezoid than a rectangle. Is this me just getting used to the glasses or is there a problem?

Okay. good. Everything is much clearer, but the shape is throwing me off a little this morning.

You have to get used to them.
I think glasses are better for looking at monitors than contacts.
Only thing glasses aren't good for for aiding in better vision is during driving and sports.
The way you are seated and your perspective in the car makes that "trapezoid" effect that you described.
Sports can use glasses, sure, but they'd break. I'd know.

I got glasses for the first time in my life about 2 months ago. Still getting used to them. Everything looks like its coming up at me when I look down. And the computer screen as well, but I have bifocals.
I was told by the eye Dr. they could do computer glasses if I needed them, a slightly different lens setup, but I'm holding out for now to try to get more used to the ones I have.

Other than you being a 4 eyed NERD?

Is this for your straight on vision or peripheral vision?
It takes a little time to get used to seeing the world as it really is

If you spend any time at the computer, get a single vision Rx for your normal viewing distance.

Yes, the edges are weird with progressive lenses. One has to turn and face objects to view so as to not get distorted views. It al,oat made me nauseous at first.
