I’m glad you said this! I’ve been seeing it and thinking of trying. At that price point I was nervous to blind buy, so this is all I needed to push me over the edge. I’m adding it to my February buy.

Do it. I think it’s great.
Now I’ll admit, my opinion is a bit controversial as most people I talk to prefer the 16 (which is an incredible Scotch). There is just something about the DE that I like just a little better
And again, if you can find the 12 grab it. It’s a bit more expensive than the others but damn it’s so good.
And if you like Lagavulin but don’t want to spend a lot of cash, the 8 is not bad.
It definitely tastes young. The peat hits you on the face and it doesn’t have the depth of flavors as the older bottles. The first couple of pours did not impress me at all, but it got significantly better the deeper I got into the bottle.
