I tasted it along with Jeff’s barrel pick of the Garrison Bros. Both were delicious but the Garrison Bros blew it out the water. But it also is priced as such. The Dickel pick had a tremendous sweet caramel corn flavor to me. My first impression when I took a sip was that it stood out with a sweetness that was very pleasing. For the record I have never bought a bad Martin’s barrel pick from Metairie. I know a lot of the bottles are same at every Martin’s store but I’m batting 100 in Metairie with barrel picks. Had I not bought the Garrison Bros. bottle I would have gotten the Dickel. I’m at the point now where I have so many bottles that I’m strictly getting either unicorns or high proof barrel picks. Well that’s the plan atleast.
