just teach him to concentrate on hitting his spots and rolling ground balls.
it's not gonna do much harm to teach him the fundamentals of throwing a curve ball at that age. however, he doesn't need to be turning it over too much. especially not in competition. there's no need for it. unless.........his dad is one of those dudes that thinks that he will be in the draft this year of course.
