I'm an AT&T employee, Uverse tv is being phased out and no longer offered. AT&T hired hundreds of temporary employees a few years ago to help rehab all the plant(copper cable in the 9 states(old Bellsouth area) for Uverse. Then in March 2014 they let every one of those employees go with no notice. 2 weeks later the $50 billion acquisition of Direct Tv was announced.
Basically, AT&T is trying to get rid of copper used services. We are in the midst of a huge overhaul of fiber to the curb by 2020 deadline. We're nowhere close but we'll be there by 2025. We're focusing on businesses first.

Interdasting. I figured they had to be leaning towards DirecTV with how much they've been pushing it almost exclusively on their website.
I was thinking of moving to Uverse. Any idea how this move is going to affect those customers? Are they slowly going to get shittier and shittier product before being forced to move to DirecTV? Should I just stay with DirecTV?
