The term "violent" is relative. I'm not going to argue your definition vs. mine. What I'm saying is that, IMO, on a scale of 1-10 of rear end collisions, this would be a 3. The original accident was a 1.

I'm just amazed that all the people that were all about no speculation a week ago have changed their tunes.

That's fine, but don't tell me there is anything clear in that video to bring you to that conclusion.

I disagree. The original accident didn't appear to cause any damage to either vehicle. I vote it a .5. If it has to be a whole number, I'll give it a 1.

However, I'll give accident #2 a higher number, a 4 or 5, considering 4 surfaces of 3 vehicles were damaged and the rear window of Smith's SUV was blown out on impact.
