concealed permit renewal online questions.

So I just finished my online permit.. There was no place to put in a payment. Anyone else do the online vs the paperwork? Paperwork clearly states a fee for five years. Nothing on the online. I was guessing they'd review it and then email me to submit payment..
Thanks
Thanks

I haven't had mine long enough to have to renew, but I thought you have to go back through a class to renew. I remember when I took my class, there was some guys in there for renewal.

Once you submit your form with the required training documents they will approve/deny it and you'll receive an email to pay the fees

Send a post office money order. That's the easiest way to go.

According to the CCP office, when they get to your application, they will email a link for payment. Once they receive payment they will conduct the background check. Assuming all goes well, you get approved and they issue the permit.
When I called and spoke with them in the 1st week of April, they were still working on January applications. They also told me it takes 4 to 6 weeks from payment to permit in hand once they begin the background check.
So for me, it could be 6 months from online application to permit in hand.

Did my renewal online Went as follows
App completed 12/18/15
App received 12/21/15
Payment sub/appr 1/5/16
Permit approved 1/12/16
Permit received via mail 1/25/16
Very easy and painless. Next renewal will require new photos.

For those that have had renewals... Did y'all have to have another instruction course? I submitted my original training certificate and it was rejected saying I needed a current one. When I trained the first time I was told to keep the certificate for the renewal. ..
So if there is more training necessary is it a different class (ie. shorter and cheaper) or is it the same as before? If it's the same I don't see the need to separate renew and new other than fingerprints and photo.

No its the same course as first time but there are some instructors that do charge less than others for renewals. Just have to check around.
