Instead of starting a new thread, I will just ask here, where is the best place to get a truck load of topsoil? I just had concrete poured and built a fence, my yard is completely torn up from concrete trucks and the delivery of fence materials. Beyond that, it's uneven and bumpy. I'm thinking a load of dirt will solve all my problems.

Anyone know where I can get a truck load of dirt in Walker? Also, I guess a mini skid steer is probably the best way to spread it out, no?

You both want river silt. Call General Sand or Hollis Kinchen. Or Cleggs normally has it in bulk you can put on trailer or back of truck. Shovels easy, packs nicely and has a good bit of dirt mixed in. Better than sand and easier to spread than topsoil. Can lay sod right on top. Smooth and level with the backside of a garden rake or a piece of chain link fence pulled behind a 4 wheeler.
