What's confusing about that? It's one of the wealthiest areas in the state and has a high population that is very "walker" friendly. It's difficult to rob someone when there are a dozen people nearby.

Yes, it has it's share of car thefts, but VERY little violent crime.

Considering population per square foot, it's probably one of the safest in the state.

I wouldn't say anywhere in New Orleans is one of the safest places in Louisiana
