And Verizon and att give away state of the art iPhones. Would you argue Apple doesn't make huge margins off those just because the end user thinks it's free?
How is the alarm industry different?
Eta and phones look radically different than even 10 years ago.
Those alarm panels look like they did in 1982. You don't think this is an industry ripe for an overhaul?

It's the samething. Apple sells the phone to the phone company, phone company gives you the phone so you sign a contract.
