I think if someone wants to pimp a home run then the pitcher should be able to peg the guy next time around if he wants to.
That's so ridiculous, IMO. A batter celebrates a good play and the pitcher gets his sensitive feelings hurt, so he hits him with a 95mph fastball next time around?

Depends on what the batter does. If he hot dogs around the bases while intentionally targeting and taunting the pitcher going around the bases, then frick yeah the pitcher should pop him next time. That's baseball IMO.

If he just bat flips and jogs slowly to soak it in, that's different.

I mean it's worked for a long while hasn't it?

Like I said, I'm not totally for it. It's bullshite if you go head hunting, but putting one in someone's back isn't going to kill them or ruin their career. I also don't think it needs to be done in every little circumstance. It adds some flavor to the game, all of it does. The pimping and the beaning. It works both ways.

However, as a Rangers fan I hope whoever is on the mound the first time we play Toronto fricking beans Bautista with a FB right in the back.

I don't think it's a big deal if it's like one time. But if a player is habitually doing it or habitually talking shite, then it is called for IMO.

A lot of people forget that these guys have histories with each other most of the time from coming up through the farm systems.

I think the pitcher should celebrate after every strikeout like he just won the lottery... maybe an X chop over the nut sack and yell "SUCK IT" when he whiffs a hitter with a great change up!!
