Is updating FIFA worth it?

I own FIFA 13 and feel like playing a soccer game again, is it really worth it to buy the newest one? FIFA just seems like one of those titles that doesn't change much from year to year. Keep in mind I don't do ultimate team and stuff. I usually do the MyCareer part.

The changes year to year are pretty subtle. With that said, I can't stand FIFA. It's the most frustrating game by far I've ever played

If you don't play ultimate team, i would not get fifa 16 as I don't think the gameplay is as good as previous years (I'm a pretty hardcore fifa player) but if you want you might want to upgrade to fifa 15

The career mode for 16 on xbone is pretty cool. You can now train 5 individual players each week.

Alright I'll just get 15 then. Thanks.

Yeah 15 is better than 16 for career for sure...
Biggest problem I have with career mode, if you leave a team as a manager willingly, the game glitches where you can never leave a team by choice again. Meaning doing a career where you start with a shite team and work your way to the top is basically impossible

15's gameplay is better than 16, although I liked the lower emphasis on pace and the training/prize money payouts they added to career mode.

16 is more realistic. You can't most buy up speed guys and blaze down the wind anymore. You actually have to possess, find pockets, make quick passes, etc.
You can still utilize speed, but it's isn't OP like it was. I prefer this year's version once I adjusted.

Not a chance. You can not like the changes that de-emphasize pace, but FIFA16's career mode is much better than FIFA15. I don't see how that's arguable.

See specifically what I mentioned... Gameplay is better in 16, there's no arguing that, but my favorite thing to do is start as a manager at a crap team and eventually make my way up to one of the top teams, that's basically impossible in 16

How is that? You're actually able to carry over budgets properly and keep your extra winnings. I moved Notts County from League 2 to Premier League and gave some good status updates throughout in the FIFA thread.

I mean become the manager of an LFC, CFC, Bayern, Madrid, etc.
There's a pretty well known bug that if you leave a team willingly (as in not fired), the game will never let you do it again... This wasn't the case in 15
