Average height for an NBA SG is 6' 5.6", lower 10 percentile is 6' 3.3" and 90th percentile is 6' 7.2". Average wingspan is 6' 8.6".
Hield is 6' 4.5" with a wingspan of 6' 8.5". If he's undersized it's by a minuscule amount.
He isn't the size of Klay Thompson or Khris Middleton, but he also isn't the size of Monte Ellis or CJ McCollum. He's the size of Wade or Oladipo. I don't think his size should be a cause for concern.

For me, the size only matters on defense. Wade and (to a lesser extent) Dipo are superior athletes, offering some flexibility (and even some rim protection) on that end. Hield doesn't look like that type of athlete.
That doesn't mean you don't draft him if you're the Pels- they need as many actual NBA players as they can find for this roster and Hield can help right away. But size on defense on the perimeter is an issue the Pels have ignored for 4 years. At some point, assuming they want to be a decent defense, they need to get serious about perimeter players in the 6'6"-6'9" range.
