Stardew Valley is the love child of Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing

The last few weeks this title has been compared to Harvest Moon on GC and SNES. Multiple podcasts have gave this game huge props, calling it an Animal Crossing/Harvest Moon hybrid. Now Harvest Moon is one of my favorite titles from the GC generation so I had to check it out. Only being 10days in this game is everything I would want it to be. Collecting, looting, building, selling and saving a town center from the evil's of corporations.
Anyone else addicted, have you made it through a year?

Just finished my first year. Have a massive self-watering crop now and a deluxe barn and coop. Hay has been a problem. Haven't figured out a way to keep from eventually having to buy it. Grass doesn't grow fast enough to sustain my animals. Recently just got married too. Winter was great for focusing on leveling up fishing and getting to the bottom of the mine.

Just started tonight actually...6 "days" in. I have never played a game like this before. It has been fun so far, but not sure what to expect going forward.
I am completely over minecraft and the resource grind, which I played for quite some time, but this game appears to be more.
Is it more?

I'm up to 35 hours played. I am addicted to this game since I've been waiting for a new Harvest Moon Game forever.
Go to the beach and use your hoe to dig up the snow yams and winter root. I would make 8k a day doing that in the winter.

Storing isn't really necessary except for the off chance someone wants something out of season for a quest. I kept my cash flow through selling my fish and spare minerals

Just picked up this game for ps4/vita. I had never heard of it but ran across it while browsing the PS store. I've played about an hour and I can already tell this is going to consume my life
