I've been saying I was going to try it, might give it a practice run this week. I've made the finals in a ton of competitions, but never won. I just like going out and having fun with my friends that cook.

Same. It's a fun hobby and usually benefits some cause/charity. Nothing like getting up early, firing up the burner and drinking with friends and good music.

It works baws, I've use it a ton but I do my own seasoning. I've won a few times with my own mix but got my butt handed to me many times with guys using Leblancs.
Open fire is not too bad, different but once you get use to it then it's like riding a bike. It's a plus to have a partner that can man a fire.
