How old are the kids?
I'd say embrace the situation. Meet the other kids parents, get to know the kid. Don't leave them in a situation to get knocked up or do drugs.
If you were going to talk to the kid about who not to date you've waited to long. Maybe revisit that after this relationship.

If she is in middle/high school, looks are pretty much all that matter. She will make better decisions when she gets older. Just keep her from getting pregnant.
