Why would anyone melt over this? This squad isn't good at all.
They'll be lucky to get a 2 seed in a regional. Not great pitching and not good hitting.

Amen. Baseball is a sport unlike any other.
I am, however, surprised at the performance of Alex Lange. He's our ace and this does not bode well if he continues to have control issues.

One of the most beautiful and the most frustrating things about baseball is that it is a game of long periods of ups and downs, as well as a game by game thing.
You can have weeks where the team just can't get it right to save their lives, but it can be followed by weeks of sheer dominance. By the same token a team that's awful can play one game or even a series where they wipe the floor with a much better team and then come out the next day and suck again for weeks to come. By the same token you can be the hottest team in baseball and every now and then get your arse handed to you by an inferior team then go right back to dominating.
Does this team have no small amount of concerns? Of course. Am I worried? A bit, yeah. But I'd like to give them a few conference series, let alone one conference game, before we pass any kind of universal judgement on this squad as a whole.
