Old 2nd Hole - LSU Golf course (while in college) probably 15 years ago

Worst shot of my life. I was trying to hit a knockdown shot, but skulled it about head high. It finally hit ground in the rough just in front of the green and somehow the ball released onto the green and disappeared. We were all looking behind the green and couldn't find it. Then one buddy decided to check the cup "just in case", and there it was...
May or may not have gone back that night and grabbed the pin.

I'll never forget playing a round with my old instructor (~78-80yo) one summer when I was about 16. He hit his tee shot (from the Senior Tees) and turned around to head back to the cart before the shot had settled. It was tracking toward the pin, hit the green, checked up, and released into the cup.
I was so excited I couldn't stand it. I was jumping up and down and shouting to him that he had made a hole in one. his reply: "Damn son, no need to get so excited. That's where I was aiming"....
Guess the 6th HiO isn't as exciting as the first...
