It is definitely one of my favorite movies with a twist ending. Some other movies try that and it just doesn't work, but Primal Fear executed it to perfection. And Norton's performance was amazing. I would have no problem had he won the award that year.

I'd be interested to know if the director withheld the end of the script from the cast in order to have them play the characters as genuinely as possible. Norton really totally immersed himself in that role, as good a performance as his American History X outting imo.
