This is correct (for the most part). But you have to take into account body size, body fat and the amount of fats you've eaten along with the protein. Also, physical activity comes into play.
There are a lot of clowns out there going 250+ grams of protein a day from supps and shitting out powder bricks because their bodies can only use so much. If you don't drink enough water, you will actually poop out little bits of powder. Nothing like realizing that second scoop of Gold Standard went straight through your body and is now sitting on top of a turd.
That being said, I'd rather be on the high end than the low end. A general rule is that you should get as much protein as you want from food. 200 grams - 1000 grams. If you're getting it from supplements alone though, you're killing your kidneys, and you'll feel really sluggish throughout the day.
