that's the first thing that crossed my mind. NCAA violation would be icing on the cake for this sh!t-show of a season.

The kid is going to make over 100 million dollars in a shoe deal plus a lottery NBA contract. WHY ON EARTH WOULD HE STAY IN SCHOOL? That is not counting any other endorsements, he has the potential to be one of the highest earning sports figures ever.

Unless there's some loophole, it is a violation. Student athletes can talk to agents but they can't accept gifts or negotiate with them. They certainly can't have agreements to sign in place.
