Okay. Does asking for a death sentence while reaching for a gun warrant a death sentence?

The dude already showed murderous intent when he was driving 70 mph at a road block. I think we got a little past resisting arrest. He also kept making statements of your going to have to kill me. The dude was running around outside his truck like a lunatic. I'm ok with this shooting and think the police did a damn good job not killing anyone else.

It absolutely does not. And I am so sick and tired of people who have this idiotic logic.
I was in court as a 17 year old kid for a minor traffic ticket and a cop came up to me in the court and started sniffing on me for literally no reason.. (I've never drank or done illegal drugs in my life) It offended me so much that as he left I made a remark under my breath and said "you arse" He immediately turned around to arrest me and I freaked out.. and ran out the court.. because I have anxiety issues and the thought of being arrested freaked me out.. I could have easily been shot.. I even pushed the officer away as I fled.. once I got out the court though.. I came to my senses and turned myself in bc I knew I wasn't going to just get away.. even though I was still panicking of being arrested I did stop running..
but they could have EASILY shot at me and justified it.. times are so different even now.. 10-15 years later..
I am no criminal, I have not ever had a speeding ticket since nor have I ever been arrested since.. Any ways, when they searched me at the jail they took my initial belongings in one room.. a wallet and phone.. then did another search in another room and found 2 $20 bills in my front pockets and the officer said, "thanks" (this was not even the officer who arrested me that took my money)
When my dad picked me up they gave me my belongings, except not the cash I had in my pockets. I was not happy, but I was so relieved just to be out and they did drop the "assault" charge.. so I still have no record.
2 of the other people in the holding cell could not believe they even arrested me for that.. any ways, I was immature and let my pride get the best of me.. so I still shouldn't have said anything.. I am nothing but respectful of police. I once had 3 officers pull me over after that incident while driving a Trans Am (I was just in traffic, not even driving.) They asked to search my vehicle and I had no issue because I had nothing to hide.. they searched it and let me on my way..
I believe if people were more respectful to cops, they would have less issues with them.. but of course there are still some dirty cops.. any ways, Just sick of people being okay with others getting killed simply for an initial resistance.. and it doesn't always mean you are guilty of something illegal.
