I don't recall where I saw it on TV, but there was this scene where the son was in the hospital dying of cancer. At one point he is awakened by his father's attempt to smother him with a pillow. The father explains that he was only trying to speed things up so as to spare him the painful death that normally occurs with cancer deaths.
The father tells his son that there are a few family and friends who want to come by and say goodbye. He also tells his son that the son's ex-wife is on her way to the hospital to see him.
The son takes a pause and then says, "Dad, how about the pillow"
