Pro-Saban People: Correct me if I'm wrong

Didn't he leave the Tigers in a frikkin huge lurch under very deceitful circumstances?
Doesn't LSU look like some battered wife taking back a cheating husband by even discussing this?
What's to keep him from leaving again, other than some insane contractual penalty? Perhaps even jailtime? (lol)
I just don't think it shows good character on our part to have people supporting this.

Didn't the majority of Tiger fans secretly root for him with the Fins?It wasn't until he went to Bama that everyone started to hate him.True in my particular case.

He left LSU poorly, just before the Cap One he announced it. He left Miami, like Art Modell left Cleveland for Indy, like a friggin snake.

LSU needs to let the Saban thing go...
It's so yesterday!
I felt this way before the whole "coaching change" thing became an issue...
I thought the entire plethara of "anti-saban" shirts during the year was over the top and gave him more attention than he deserved.
Get over him and move on!

Well what do you say about your boy JT and all his players on their knees for him?

Nope. I hate the Dolphins. I hate the WVMD. It's not personal, it's football.

say what you want but the reason this football is where it is today is because of nick saban
Posted on 11/28/07 at 10:36 pm to Ace Midnight
hes getting 4mil/yr.
theres no way LSU offers him that much after Alabama's 6-6 season.

You are totally CORRECT!
Nick Saban deserves full credit for putting this program on top! And while he was here, I was one of his biggest supporters...but HE LEFT, and that's on NICK!
I'm not looking back, I'm moving forward.

Dinardo gets no credit for originally putting LSU in the position of even making it to bowl games. I guess his last two horrible seasons erased that for many people.
Saban did great for LSU and LSU did great for Saban. LSU didn't lie to Saban and leave him high and dry, that was all Saban.

you guys know you DID NOT hate saban when he left! you were sad to lose him but accepted he wanted to go to the NFL! You all got pissed when he when he went to bama. He wanted back into college coaching and took the best job available. can you really blame him! it is selfish of lsu fans to hate him for that! And if he came back and started winning big games i hope you all freaking stay home, dont go to the games, and become a tulane fan! Because i am a LSU fan regardless of the coach!!!!

Hated him before he was in Miami. He was always about himself never about the team. He got a title here, left and when he returned to Tiger Stadium for a Dolphins/Saints game, he rejected Miles invitation to see the new facilities. He started showing his lack of care for LSU in the Capital One Bowl. Giving up a 4th and ten in OT is one thing, giving up a hail mary to lose a bowl game is another. That was not good coaching. The Alabama thing just added to it. Wanting credit for our Sugar Bowl victory last year was classless, blaming Shula and his staff for lack of dicipline when he lost to ULM was classless. The guy is an idiot who thinks he is god and everyone and everything is beneath him. I do not care for this man in representing my/our university, we can do better than him. He has one national title and has done poorly since, we can do better. I did not care for him here, in Miami and in Alabama. He left LSU without hesitation, people wanting him back is a sign of desperation to me.

Hell fricking YES I hated him when he left.
He left with NO CLASS AT ALL after the Tiger Nation did everything in the world for him.
Talk about "you guys", but don't tell me what I thought or felt.
There was no justification for him hauling arse on LSU and THOSE PLAYERS who gave their all for him.
Saban's a bitch.
He and Bama deserve each other.

By "without hesitation", do you mean mulling over the decision for two weeks, and initially turning it down only to be talked into it at the last second by Wayne Huizenga?

how can you blame a coach who rebuilt our program, and wanted to coach in the NFl. Really!? If thats your argument and it has nothing to do with bama then i still dont see your point. Lsu is better off because we hired saban back in 2000. i see no reason why it would be a bad thing for him to come back, and trust me. you will agree with me right after the next national title if he does in fact come here.

And you think some of the boosters that want to bring Saban back have any character?
They are characters.
They are characters.
