I like him. He has a good voice and gets excited when good things happen. When things are not going great he doesn't have the negativity that Hawthorne did. I love Hawthorne but he sounds so disgusted sometimes. He also constantly complained about the length of baseball games and some of the rules. I do wish Hanny was still doing color. He knows his stuff.

Great voice. Almost too good though, seems like you are listening to a generic major league play by play guy.

This. Some call it "passion", but it is possible to be passionate without whining. I listened to JH's radio broadcasts (in any sport) only if absolutely necessary due to his incessant griping and negativity.
