I had a BIO 101 teacher my freshman year who asked us "Why do a whale breathe under da water?"
Me: "Uhhh...they don't. They come up for air."
Her: "No, a whale have gills."
Me: "What's the blowhole for, then?"
Her: "I'll find out and get back to ya."
Me: "Yeah, please do."
Her Bio MS was from Southern, naturally.

10th grade science teacher said were going to start a section on meteorology, the study of meteors.
Had a college professor from South Korea, fresh into the US say "Rine A dickenperpular to Rine B." Although that statement was factually correct it was too much to handle.
