Haha I'm debating on running some field trials with him. I have been running pattern poles and blinds with him out to 275-300 yds and he hammers them no problem. He will be staying with his trainer for the better part of 40 days coming up since I will be working nights on a turnaround and won't be able to run him. Just don't know if I want to run any trials with him.

Isn't he a lab chessie mix or did I dream that up? If so why would you trial him??? Is it just something you enjoy doing? He cannot obtain titles without papers.

My little guy isn't registered but that's not why I got him. I got a best friend and a great hunting partner and that's all I wanted. I'm sure he could run a few hunt tests with ease, it's just not something I'm interested in. My greatest reward is watching him hunt well and knowing I trained him to do it.

But to each his own.
