I boil 10-15 pounds all the time on my back patio here in Atlanta. Boiled crawfish aren't readily available out here, so if you only want a few pounds, gotta do it yourself.
I don't use my big pot for that, though. I got this smaller, granite-enamel pot that was labeled as a "seafood steamer" pot ($15 at a close-out store) ... has a basket insert. Perfect for 15 pounds plus sides. I just knocked down the ratio of seasoning.
It's actually a really quick boil, as the propane burner brings that baby to a boil hella fast.
