Because everyone knew those Second round pick guys were going to be great

No he is wayyyy to careless with picks. He should always keep a couple of seconds and not to throw them around like he does but you can't fault any gm for not hitting in the second round those gets are getting picked that late for a reason.
IMO Dell biggest downfall
1. He won't accept sunk cost
He did it with Gordon who did not want to play here, he major knee surgery and refused to rehab. But due to him being the key piece in cp3 trade he kept him. Dell knew Gordon wasn't worth 15 mil which is why he offered him 10 but he would not accept sunk cost.
Asik was a big disappointment last year but due to trading a pick he didn't want him to walk and he over payed.
2. He had too much hope
Every year he had hope for this roster to stay healthy. Instead of going out and trading for more durable guys. He always had to much hope that this core will finally get healthy and win.
3. Getting high character guys and young vets. I understand he did this to keep AD leveled but at the same time those guys perceived to have a bad attitude are also the guys who hate losing the most. Unless a guy was a cancer to the team those guys should be welcomed. Also looking for guys who understand the game with high IQ other than just going after raw talent. Talent can't always be improved IQ is rarely.
