Probably gonna make a camping trip out there soon and fish the area you're talking about. We hit the northwest flats last time cause it was rougher and that was the protected side. Usually it's money for flounder gigging but we couldn't get on them, or anything else.

My friend and I talked about that same thing the other night. I never really fished the area until he got me into it, but I really like it out there. I'd really have to pick a good day to get the skiff out there. We ran up on a guy stranded in Smuggler's on morning in a 16'ish bateau though
