Might be switching from the Hampton inn on 39th street to the one on 24th instead(Chelsea location) because I'd rather stay there than Times Square. After looking into the hotel though it seems that there are several reports of bed bugs at the Chelsea location. Although most reports were back in 2011 it has me a bit nervous to stay there. Especially since the 39th street location doesn't have any reports. Not sure where to stay.

if there aren't any recent reports, you'll be fine. chelsea is a far better area anyway, with meatpacking district and the highline.
