I laughed more than I should have the other day at "Thrust but hole" when it was placed behind an NPC

couldnt sleep last night so i redownloaded Salt and Sanctuary and went on a warpath. 3 hours and im more than halfway done with the game
if you want to be overpowered in almost no time, just take a greatsword and transmute it with the ashes from the Wrathful Dead (tall black witch that flies and screams) to get teh Jaws of Death. I think you first see them in Hager's cavern. I have mine at Level 6 (I was using level 7 at endgame first time through) and im just destroying everything. need to get my stamina up though. ive put all my points in strength and it's just unfair how much damage output i have.
farm the split swordsman below the Hager's sanctuary for Lord's Orders, a rare upgrade material

Nice. I've started playing Hyper Light Drifter. It definitely has that bleak and lonely feel. But the art and music is amazing. And I love the no-dialogue storytelling. You just put things together from your observations.

I can't decide if I should get DS3 right away or wait till I finish Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted 4.

It's available to pre-load tonight on ps4. I won't be able to play until Monday morning or afternoon.

So BB was my first souls like game and now I'm jumping into DS3. What are the important mechanics that are different besides the health restore? I see stuff about magic being a viable build (really wasn''t in BB) how does all that work?

as far as mechanics, no farming for health items; you have a set amount of Estus that you can increase as the game goes on. You also have a mana bar (called focus points) that dictates spell a weapon arts (special attacks that use mana). There is another flask that is used to restore focus points, both of these restore when resting at bonfires.
Dark Souls is a little more rpg than Bloodborne, so if you want to do magic you have to invest in intelligence and then infuse your weapon with magic so that it scales off of that stat. Scaling and weapon infusions are much broader.

Which is why souls mechanics are more confusing
