Would our players be in for a culture shock.....

...if Spurrier were to come? Maybe culture shock isn't the right term/phrase but Spurrier doesn't frick around. He's almost the polar opposite of Mr. Nice Guy Les Miles. He wouldn't be laughing and smiling and patting them on the arse when they mess up.

Drop some more passes and you are riding the Pine

I'd love to have Spurrier.

some would have a tough adjustment period, but most know if they heed his knowledge they would become a better all around football player. spurrier is a a-hole but he produces results on the field

Spurrier had to apologize to his team last week

For as long as the Spurrier to LSU talk has been going on, I cannot find a suitable LSU visor that he would be happy wearing on the sidelines.

Adam32, I agree
For what?
He'd make RP cry

S. Carolina is a coaching graveyard that even Spurrier can't bring along. I really don't understand why so many people ASSume that Spurrier can't coach all of a sudden. He sure as hell exposed our defense. There are three words that describe why Florida fans fear him coming to LSU....HE'S A WINNER! He could dominate with this talent and talent base for recruiting!

Spurrier didn't "have" to apologize for anything. He did what a leader does. He said the buck stops here!
Would you have had more respect for him if he had thrown his players under the bus like Saban did?

I brought this up a week ago. Spurrier actually throws his players under the bus just as much as Saban does if not more. BUt when Spurrier does it it is called no nonsense. When Saban does it it is negative

ONe other thing. That whole phrase "throwing players under the bus" is loaded. It us usually used by the media and/or the fan base when they are upset with a Coach and they are smeeling blood in the water

Yep.
Bayou, you've been keeping a level head lately and been doing a helluva job the past couple of weeks or so, especially the last couple of days, injecting sense into some of the crazy threads out there.

I think the players would be aight, but I'm starting to question if maybe Spurrier has lost a step or three. He used to be my front runner for who I'd like to see, but now I'm not so sure he has 3-4 good years left in the tank.

Spurrier was the first to expose our defense. Everyone saw what he did and followed suit. No, he can't coach at all. He's soley responsible for LSU being lowered a few notches.
I think Spurrier killed the 800 pound gorilla with a chainsaw for a penis.

What did we expose since he soon went on a 5 game losing streak after he played us
