I worked as a teacher in the innner city of New Orleans (Pre Katrina). I once brought my very young son to my school and we passed by the BW Cooper housing projects. My very young son's impression?

Oh,he didnt even notice the crappy buildings, he was amazed at the "fancy cars" and that no one in our neighborhood had such flashy cars and inquired why we could not afford such blinged out cars.
