The thing about Hawkins is that I believe he graduated.
Still, begin drafted in the 2nd or 3rd vs. the 6th or 7th could be the difference in having a 4-5 year career instead of a 2 year career.

On a serious note, can't blame a guy for wanting to make some money even if it isn't top dollar in the league.
