We are beyond good and evil. These are easy terms to make us feel better about 'us' and to distrust 'them'.
Not that these aren't useful, or even integral, ideas for humanity. Having some kind of purpose, a drive, a foundation of mythos - is necessary for human fulfillment, I think. Without conflict or an adversary, these instincts fall by the wayside - which, I'm afraid to say, is something very evident in Western (ie European) culture today.
