Fair enough, but no one is going to hell because they ate a turkey sandwich on a Friday during Lent.

The whole point of the fasting/abstinence from meat is more symbolic in nature. Which is why earlier, I said giving up things for lent is for 5 year olds; as a way to teach them about making sacrifices.

yeah and I agree with you. I never give up shite for lent and I eat meat whenever I want. I sacrifice for my family and give to the church and charities all year long. Not going to try and be "better" for 40 days. shite is ridiculous.
