Three places on the road system I would not live, anchorage, eagle river or Fairbanks.

So Palmer, Wasila, or bust?

I'm probably going to start out renting I'm Anchorage. I'be heard to stay out of the areas that end in view. Any other places I should stick close to?

You may like Anchorage. It's a mid sized city, has a lot of things for a city it's size, but the traffic sucks, and there are just too many people there for me.

Eagle River is a suburb, pretty area but it's littered with short term residents who are here for work.

If you don't mind living in the city, Anchorage may be your kind of place. The Valley is more to my liking though it's getting overcrowded now as well. I think y'alls offices are off of Tudor, which turns into Muldoon. Stay away from Muldoon. It's a terrible area.

I just like Palmer. Very scenic, and a better community IMO than Wasilla or Eagle River. It's also less expensive than Anchorage.
