Automated vehicles you mean? I wouldn't say never but it would take 50-75 years or so, really when a entire generation or two grows up with automated cars, if ever. Their entire desire to drive manually will die because they either 1) never had to drive or 2) realized long ago it's just pointless with easier methods with automation.

I disagree. Once the technology is in place, which it is, advancements happen rapidly.

Look at air travel. In 75 years, this is what we did.
