Just want to add that today the Direct TV guy came out and installed it. On Monday AT&T will be out to install internet, but I decided to switch to DirectTV/AT&T because there was no way I should have been paying what I was.

I had the bundle (internet, cable and landline). The sports package was added to my cable (SEC network, NFL, NBA, MLB networks, ESPNU, etc) as well as HBO & Showtimes (there are quite a few shows I watch on both)

It was costing $320 a month. Had been thinking about looking into switching to something else for awhile and just never got around to doing it, until a few weeks ago. Looked into DTV/AT&T and gave them a call. I told them what I have now and I was told they could offer everything I have now for $148/month. The NFL ticket free for 1 year and a $100 gift card. So I finally decided to get rid of Cox.

Looking back at it now, I will be paying $172 less a month.. I should have switched a long time ago.

For an extra $2k per year, definitely. Just remember to shop around after the contract expires. Telecoms don't reward customer loyalty, only people that shop around and ask for deals.
