I have to be honest, I'll be kind of peeved if weed gets legalized in Louisiana and my guy stops delivering $100 quarters.
I get where you're coming from, but it's irrelevant to the discussion of its legality

What is that you say Mr. Scientist? This plant can be used for lumber, fibers, textiles, oils, clothing, plastics, etc... And it's easily sustainable? And it can grow 100x more efficiently and with less space than trees? And it had medical benefits? Like helping alzheimers patients and cancer patients and depression and anxiety? And it's safe and impossible to overdose on for recreational use? Make it illegal! It'll frick up the profit margins for the lumber, oil, clothing, and pharmaceutical industries!
Lol we have things like trees and medicine that work way better, don't ruin lives, and don't fund terrorism

Legal Weed funds schools not terrorism

If a legalization initiative got on the ballot in Louisiana, I have little doubt it would pass pretty easily. The problem here is that there is no such thing as a signature driven ballot initiative, and there's very little chance of the legislature acting to give the people a chance to be heard. Police, prisons, big pharma, and alcohol all have too much to lose and will continue to lobby to keep prohibition in place. The last initiative proposed by Rep Honore (HB117) was pretty much laughed out of committee, and he voluntarily deferred the bill. Honore is now no longer a state representative. The tax money from an initiative could go along way to helping solve budget issues and improving our education system.

It would be the same weed, I would just lose my delivery service. I'm willing to pay more for someone to bring me my drugs.

It will be on the agenda for the upcoming legislative session. I may be using the word agenda wrong but you get the idea. From what I've been told, if passed it will go to a vote of the people. In other words, the bible thumping north Louisiana fricktards will ruin it for everyone.

Most of those states have average to above average education systems and I'd venture to say more intelligent populations.

Is there a new bill being proposed?

It's a pretty benign substance that adults should have the freedom to use in the privacy of their own home. It directly hurts drug cartels, actually lowers rates of abuse, and makes it harder for minors to acquire. It destroys an unregulated black market, decreases our burgeoning and ludicrous prison population, and brings in hundreds of millions of tax dollars that are going towards funding schools.
There is literally no logical reason that this substance should be illegal, illicit, or demonized by Uncle Sam.
I want to bro hug you bro.
Just don't get all "Aggie" on me.

Legalize Weed people keep talking about making products like rope, fabric out of weed. None of that is happening in Colorado. All that's happened is the stoners have bred weed with 300% more THC and that's not even the medically beneficial part of weed. Just admit y'all want to get baked and quit making fairy tales up.
