That's the best way to do it, it is easy to make $1000 a night when surges get high. I know people out here in AZ that made around $10,000 in 7 days of actual work last year between NYE, the Phoenix Open, Barrett Jackson and the Super Bowl weekend. Halloween out here always gets to between 7-9x surge out here as well.

Here's the thing, demand varies from market to market, so the amount of money people make varies. BR for example does not have the demand that Phoenix does. The only time I remember surge getting has high as 8x was this past New Year's holiday. It's only remotely close to being that high on gamedays.

I can tell you no driver in Baton Rouge has made 1000 dollars in a night. Average at the old rates was probably 150-200 at the old rates. That's before expenses in an 8-10 hour day during prime time Friday and Saturday. So maybe 15-20/hr before expenses.
