Bravo good sir. If you want to get it more accurate, try plugging your estimated taxable wages for 2016 into a simple tax calculator like this. Adjust for your filing status and exemptions and see what your estimated federal tax owed is going to be. Divide that by your paychecks per year and shoot for that withholding on each paycheck. If your HR website has a paycheck calculator it can help tremendously.

I don't know you in real life, but you come off as one stuck up, know-it-all prick on the internet.
Most people's tax-situation is different and way more complicated than using a simple tax calculator.
