Yea it is hard to define where somebody is from. Elway may say he is from Cali. But I should have said born in my title as it makes it less ambiguous and easier to research.

Bill Russell was born in Louisiana( moved at 7 or 8) ,but I think he considers himself an Oakland CA product.

Russell's formative years were in Oakland & he probably barely remembers Louisiana .


Eta.: Did not know( or recall hearing) that David Woodley had died . Did not know about his health issues.
