well its heavier and doesn't fly that high...but I get your point...but I would be more worried if he was a Marine pilot...not trying to be offensive or out of line but those guys seem to have a lot of "training" missions go bad...I don't remember the last time the Navy put an H60 in the drink...just saying.

I've not really thought about it until now but it does seem that I hear more about Marine chopper accidents than anything else.

That's our focus right now, which with a 14 yr old boy can be taxing to say the least. Still, he's got aspirations of college football and then being a Blackhawk pilot. Anytime he mentions either I just remind him that unless he's got the grades, neither will be an option when he graduates. That does seem to motivate him.

West Point... BEAUTIFUL campus. He can play CFB and get his arse kicked for 4 years by Navy. then he can go fly the choppa's...

My 16yo is considering the cybersecurity ratings offered by Navy and AF but I think he will more than likely go to college.

It'd be cool if he does become our family's 4th generation in a row to serve but I am certainly not gonna push it.

I have a 14 year old as well...great baseball player...catching varsity this upcoming season as a freshman...his grades make me insane...I am constantly in his arse about it...I want him to go play baseball at the Citadel...then maybe do the military if he doesn't get drafted..
