Traffic Camera Tickets do you pay?

I got a traffic camera ticket in Gretna and they sent it to a collection agent. Not sure how to proceed? Would the OT pay this?

Pay it. It's destroying your credit and will affect your future borrowing capabilities and interest rates. So stupid not to pay it.

Search through any of the multiple threads about this. Simple answer... no.
Got one 2013 from BR Red Light Enforcement Program with a mailing address in Cincinnati, OH. Ignored it and later I got letters from some "law office" out of Arizona. Ignored that too and haven't heard anything since.

It's not a joke. I'm a banker and pull credit reports for a living. Had one guy whose son was driving his truck and got a camera ticket. He tried to argue it and it went to collections. Pay the shite and be done. BTW yall pay your damn medical bills too. See a lot of that shite on credit reports too!

got two. Never paid either. They can't send to collections because you never entered an agreement with them for any services rendered so you don't owe them shite.

Please explain how...especially considering they don't put these on your credit.

I stayed at a holiday inn once too, but when you're wrong you're wrong. No agreement entered into, and quite possibly not even you driving at the time of issue. I have one I couldn't find info to pay (think I threw it away) from about 4 years ago...have credit monitoring service and it's still not there.

I don't think so. I've had three of those things, have never paid, all of which were turned over to some collection agency, none of which have ever appeared on a credit report.

Depends how much it cost. I think Lafayette traffic light camera ticket is only $27 or something like that . Sure, I'll pay that . But a $400 one or something absurd like that? Eff that noise.

It was on his actual credit report? Where is this at?
I got a letter from "collections" too and a letter from a "law office" but neither of them could legally do a damn thing about it. I check my credit report all the time... been 3 years and no red light ticket.

Okay, I'm not in LA, so maybe it's different. I see it reported as a collections from a collections agency. Not the government itself. Typically the borrower calls the collections agency because they don't know what it is. Thats how I've seen it go down. Good luck.

You're going to get a bench warrant.

No you aren't.

It was not a red light it said I was speeding, this was at 3:00pm and I was just driving with the traffic. If it was a cop I would not have been pulled over

I would have payed the $40 bullshite camera speeding ticket they gave me. I wasn't happy about it, but I would have payed it. But when I opened the $75 increase fine for not having payed the first ticket within a 3 or 4 week time frame of it's mail date, I decided that I wasn't paying shite. frick them. That's a blatant racket and I will not be bullied or intimidated by some podunk police department and their corrupt money making practices.
