I would recommend it, especially if your team/strategy relies on lots of hits and/or heals. I think the Poe-based teams line him up with hard-hitting "glass cannons" that can knock out an opponent or two before they even take a turn, then after that there's no chance to win 3-on-5.

I got him a couple weeks ago, and I feel the same. He's just not strong enough at the stock 4*, and he's going to take forever to star up. On the bright side, you earn his shards just by playing the game, so he'll get there eventually.
