Baylor ain't giving anyone good a run for their money...you guys just don't get it..the big 12 is god awful and got destroyed, not just best, in their bowl games.
You are right and it stems from the fact that fast paced offenses will get you beat a few times per year. Sure it is fun to watch but there may be 1 or 2 teams in all the years since Spurrier's initial teams that had a defense worth mentioning. Eventually, these offenses meet a D that can stop them a few times or they have an off game and they get beat, usually handily. In a sport where losing 1 could be everything, I can't understand why more people don't see that....

but what it does do for teams like Baylor is give them more than a fair shot at beating teams with much better talent. If a team like Baylor ran an ordinary stuck in the mud 'pro style' offense, they would just be an also ran buried at the bottom of a weak conference. They are pretty consistently ranked in the mid 30's to mid 40's over the last 6-7 years in recruiting.
wait a second. LSU is a team with a great deal of talent who runs a stuck in the mud 'pro style' offense who finds themselves buried at the bottom of a very good conference.
sorry but I really don't see the superiority of our offense scheme over Baylors offense scheme. I don't want to run their scheme or anything but really don't see where ours is superior either. What if Baylor had our talent level to work with yet ran their scheme? Would be a scary team to play.
