what cameras are the best with respect to battery life and dependability for the money. I've had some cheaper ones ($60-$70) that seem to stop working after 3-4 months. Want something more dependable over time but not wanting to break the bank.
Not looking for any fancy features. Just want good pics and a camera that is reliable and durable

I'm not looking to publish any pictures so pic quality is not a big priority. Just want it to activate and take a pic when it's supposed to and last

I've had em all. My current is a wgi crush 6 for $50. I'm very surprised at the battery life.
They all suck IMHO. So I'm not wasting too much money anymore. Just going cheap from here on out.

Moutrie A-7's are good quality and very dependable

Yes, Wildgame Innovations are cheap, and game cameras are the sum of their parts. Get a high quality one and it will last much longer than several cheap ones.

we use the cheapest tasco infrared we can find. they work good enough for us. we typically only have them up for about 2-3 weeks before bow season up unitl the rut (christmas). we paid 40 or so bucks for each and if they go out we just go buy another. i agree they typically dont last

I have had good luck with the Browning Range ops and Strike Force. Range ops are in their second season and Strike force in their first.

This. Finished with Moultrie's . Buddy of mine is on his fifth year with a Bushnell. Says he puts batteries in on Labor Day and takes them out after turkey season. If the Browning doesn't work out I might just have to fork out the $150 for the Bushnell.

I have had the same luck with Bushnell. They have been great cameras and easy on battery. The only complaint I have with them is that the night time picture quality sucks. I can live with that for all the other benefits it brings.
