The Ruston Rifle! Mac had him splitting time and he ended up as s first round pick with a decent pro career. That was old style disciplinarian coaching and it took away our best chance to win. Too bad he and Bert couldn't get along.

Naturally, the Saints traded with Baltimore and got all time great DL Billy Newsome and the Colts used the pick to draft Bert. He was an incredible talent and competitor. I remember his run ins with Pittsburgh's D-Linemen.
